Cookies and other Technology Policy

1. What are Cookies

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that a user’s device (computer, tablet or cell phone) downloads when visiting a website. They allow the website to “remember” your computer, but not specifically who is using it, and improve the user experience. By associating the identification numbers in the cookies with other customer information when, for example, you log in to the website, we know that the information in the cookie relates to you.

2. What is the scope of Cookies

Cookies are generally used for different purposes, such as allowing the user to navigate between pages efficiently, implementing user preferences and generally improving your browsing experience by personalizing the website according to your navigation and user profile. They can also help ensure that the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

3. What Cookies do we use?

Our website uses several types of cookies for different purposes, as explained below in section 4 “Cookie categories on wevolved.com”.

In particular, we use:

  • Session cookies, which only last for the duration of a browsing session. They are generally used to facilitate access to services on our website, to authenticate you when you are a registered member and to remember what a user has placed in their shopping basket;
  • Persistent cookies, which last more than one visit. They are used to remember a user’s preferences and actions within the website. In this case, when a user returns to our website or visits websites that use the same cookies, the website reads the cookies and identifies the user’s browser.

Among these cookies it is possible to refer to:

Own cookies, which are provided by the website you are visiting, i.e. wevolved.com and can only be read on that website. For example, cookies that keep the product in a user’s shopping bag while the user is still browsing the website. First-party cookies can be session or permanent cookies.

Third-party cookies, designed to collect data anonymously, for example, analytical information, including browsing statistics. Other third-party cookies are intended to track our visitors’ response to our online promotional activities. This technology uses information about your visits to our website and third-party websites on which we advertise, to provide you with relevant advertisements. We also use this to know which banner ads bring users to our site.

Furthermore, third-party cookies can be session or permanent cookies.
